As I watch the setting sun infront of me,
I ask myself how cruel it is to be,
He who shines throughout the day for us,
And then slowly goes down without any fuss.
But for the 'power-cuts' we don't mind him,
How he burns all day and give us light and warmth,
Patiently he waits as the night surrounds us,
And back he is again to mark a new dawn.
Alone near my window I sit,
And think of the people who mean to me,
They to whom I clung in their times both good and bad,
What were I for them- a friend or a collie?
I was there with them when they needed someone to talk to,
Even when they needed a pat or hugs,
And now when i need some one for me,
Where are those people, "Oh! What thugs!"
Sometimes i weep on my pillow at nights,
Is there really no one to hug me tight?
And say that the night would soon be over,
The sun would come, and its light it would shower.
If 'GOOD' was the only evil I did,
And 'HELP' was my one and only sin,
Oh! what a fool had i been,
I expected from those whose character is so thin.
I have started to feel the heat,
And gradually i'll be silent and cold,
No more like sun will i rise again,
Will i be just another object, broken and old?
O' that rebel inside me,
Is he the architect of this fall?
All this time he was just sitting and watching,
Or maybe he was just waiting for the call.
No. That rebel is now my only friend,
And he alone would guide me through,
He would give me the power to survive,
And that sight to penetrate the fake and see the true.
I will fight this loneliness,
And again like sun will i rise,
May God bless those who made me suffer,
Because of them my powers I realize.
So with a heavy heart and a joyless soul,
I promise to keep my sprits alive,
I will soar great heights and find my mark,
If life is a challenge for- the best I will strive.
